VIETNAM SOUTHERN FRUIT FESTIVAL

For over nine years, the Southern Fruit Festival has become a popular event in Ho Chi Minh City. This annual event has attracted a large number of participants. And as expected, the Southern Fruit festival is planned to take place on June 1^st, in the Tien Stream Tourism Area in Ho Chi Minh City, announced by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In the festival, there will be about 50 kiosks displaying a diverse range of fruits and village craft products of 21 provinces and cities in the southern areas as well as their neighboring areas.

Especially, this year festival will feature a wide range of new fruits including Vinh Hao grapes, the Vinh Kim Tien Giang variety of orange, Vinh Kim Tien Giang seedless guava, Dang Van Ro green grapefruit, Vinh Cuu Dong Nai oranges, Vacdona Long Thanh Red jackfruit, Ba Den Mountain custard apples and Hoang Kim watermelons.

Aiming to encourage fruit planters to apply advanced science and technology into production as well as creating new varieties, the festival will organize a delicious fruit competition with various varieties of fruit from planters from 21 provinces and cities.

Additionally, during the festival, there will be a fruit parade, art performances and special folk games. Talking about the performance, i'm  glad to tell that UKM had been invited to make performance for this last three years. And this year i'm one of the dancer that will perform there :D I'll fly to Vietnam on this Saturday 31st of May 2014. To be honest, I'm so excited :D
